In the 22nd century, three students, Maya, Taylor, and Alex, were on a field trip to an abandoned house when they stumbled upon a strange device hidden in a dusty old desk.
"What is this?" Maya asked, picking up the device and turning it over in her hands.
"It looks like some kind of electronic device," Taylor said, peering over Maya's shoulder. "But it's so large, clunky and fragile. How could it even work?"
Alex, the smartest of the three, took the device from Maya and examined it more closely. "I think I remember seeing this in a book about the 21st century," she said, her eyes wide with amazement. "The people back then were so barbaric, I heard they used to sit in big metal boxes to get around."
The three students were shocked and intrigued by their discovery. They carefully wrapped the device in a cloth and took it back to their professor for further analysis.
After examining the laptop, the professor confirmed that it was indeed a relic from the 21st century. "This is an incredible find," he said, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "This laptop will provide valuable insights into the technology and way of life of people from the past. Think of this as similar to your neural implant." Maya's jaw dropped, almost as if to reach for the floor. "They must have had big heads to put fit that in there!" she remarked.
"Dear me, no." The professor laughed as he tapped on the laptop screen. "What you see in your peripheral layer, is they would see through this window."
The students were amazed by the information and technology contained within the laptop. They learned about the way people lived in the 21st century, with their reliance on computers and the internet for communication, entertainment, and even basic tasks like shopping and banking. In contrast, people in the 22nd century lived in a world where virtual reality was an integral part of daily life, and advanced implants and neural interfaces allowed them to access information and communicate with others in a seamless and intuitive way.
"It's hard to believe that people used to live like this," Alex said, shaking her head. "So to type they used to press one letter at a time? All we have to do is just think what we want and it appears Our technology is so much more advanced now. We can access all the information we need almost instantly. And we don't need to carry around these clunky devices anymore."
As they continued to explore the laptop, the students realized how much had changed in just a few hundred years. They were grateful for the advancements in technology that had made their lives easier and more convenient, but they also couldn't help feeling a sense of awe and wonder at the way people used to live in the 21st century.
