I see pain in two ways, physical and emotional - Sometime or another we have all experienced forms of pain of both causes throughout time on this earth but someone you love that has gone through or going through the pain of cancer is the most painful experience you will ever feel in my eyes - It leaves you feeling helpless, the want to protect them, comfort them, feeling lost on the matter of how you can support them in any other way to possibly making their day feel that little bit better. I wake up everyday knowing that if someone can go through the pain everyday and still smile, life is truly precious and we should never take it for granted. The strength I see in their ability to keep going, even on the days that are bad gives me so much inspiration to enjoy those little moments. Even though yes I have experienced pain in my life nothing really prepares you for the pain you feel when a family member is going through something you cannot help them through, all I can do is take their strength and determination into my daily life and show up and be present because nothing can ever compare to the admiration I have for those going through or have been through that journey.
